Ok, I will be the first one to admit that I do not always read e-mails I receive from Traffic Exchanges. This is a fault of mine, because I am not really that interested usually and in too much of a hurry to pay them much attention. I did however partially read the e-mail from Traffic Era about the clock rain, and I thought 'wow, let's get in there and get a few tokens'. This means that I did not read the entire e-mail. Today I received a PM from another member on another team entirely who said that from next month on they would not afford to keep their Club Upgrade. I wondered what the hell they were talking about. As I had already deleted the e-mail about the Clock Rain, I had to ask my team whether they still had the mail. Luckily someone did and forwarded it to me. This post is for the unlucky person who wrote me the PM.
At the end of their e-mail about the Clock Rain (which was a Great Thing) they put in a bit about a change to the logibucks and selling rates etc as from the 9th May. I have only looked at it today, and I urge everyone to look at this carefully.
How will my rate be calculated starting on May 9th, 2009?
rate (per 5,000 credits) = [base rate*] + [$1 for each upgraded referral] + [$0.50 for each complete star**]
*base rate will vary between $0.25 and $1.00 depending on network demand
**Stars are achieved based on the following LPV (Lifetime Personal Value):
1 star @ 100,000
2 stars @ 250,000
3 stars @ 1,000,000
4 stars @ 2,000,000
5 stars @ 5,000,000
Weekly selling limit
Silver Membership: max 15,000/week
Gold Membership: max 20,000/week
Platinum Membership: max 25,000/week
Club Membership: max 30,000/week
Max selling rateSilver Membership: $1.00 / 5,000 credits
Gold Membership: $2.00 / 5,000 credits
Platinum Membership: $2.50 / 5,000 credits
Club Membership: $3.00 / 5,000 credits
You do the math.

Great post. I'm eligible to receive a club invitation. If I'll get it I have to refuse - I can't afford it:-(
ReplyDeleteWow I have an upgrade in both TS25 and TrafficPods that I will have to give up. I'm not even sure I can keep my Club Membership.

Thank you Lou for putting this out to the world! Yip I crunched the numbers. This may be the biggest mistake Logiscape has EVER made IMO:
ReplyDelete1. If one does not surf the max for their level of credits every week, simply put they will not have enough logibucks to upgrade. :(
2. The most that one can earn every week is 18 lb's... :(((
3. I see they lowered the PayPal club membership to $49.99 :))) I'll NEVER pay cash on any Logiscape site again.
4. STRONG SUGGESTION: if you have extra logibucks in your account extend your membership upgrade now BEFORE THE RULES change.

Obviously the good folks at Logiscape graduated with high honors from the eBay School of Business Death.
ReplyDeleteI've been saving my points for logibucks so I can upgrade. Clearly greed has over ridden good sense at this company and they don't want people to be able to do that anymore, they want our cash. Whoops, I don't have any. I will have eventually, but for now, I live on $200 a month in the US, so I think that spells zero spendable income to even the densest of hard core salesmen, let alone a sentient being. Guess what company will NEVER see a PENNY of that spendable income, once I have it!
Way to go, eBay School of Business Death graduates, you got Greed 101 down pat. As you watch the slow painful drawn out suicide of your mentors, know you have time to acknowledge the error of your ways and mend these fences before all the Gold On The Hoof runs away.
Thanks for a great and timely post. Always a pleasure to read whatever you have written!

So much for my Club after June...
ReplyDeleteI can't believe TERA is going to implement this - They are going to lose 1/4 of their members at least because a lot of members count on those Logibucks every month to upgrade [ Me included ] - I am on a fixed Disability income, and could not afford to PAY to keep my membership, so as soon as my membership period is over, I'm choosing to leave this exchange - What was once great is now turning into a pile of sh*t, all because of greed... Sad when a good site goes bed :(
i dont know why traffic era is even popular anymore
ReplyDeletetheres so many better traffic exchanges out there that actually give you real cash rewards and incentives for surfing, like freetrafficworld, surfcash, and more check my blog for the best.
