Paying It Forward In The Name Of Enlightened Self-Interest

Do you remember the film called 'Pay it Forward' with Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and Haley Joel Osment? I really enjoyed that film and its message that if we help other people without letting them pay us back, and they help other people in their turn, then the whole world would ultimately be a better place.

Now I know, I could help some people and they may just shrug their shoulders and not Pay It Forward to the next person and in theory then, the whole thing would fall apart and the world would not become a better place at all. And this is of course what does happen, some people who have received gifts or favours from others do not pass it on to others and selfishly sit on their little pile and stay there.

But even if not all the people Paid It Forward does that mean the world did not actually improve at all?

Say I paid for three people to join a programme that has a one time only fee, and two of those people decided to do the same thing and pay it forward for three people each, but the third person did not. Do the maths, my one act of paying forward has helped nine people, not 12. And though the maths may not be as perfect as a 100% success rate, it still has caused a change in the lives of nine people.

Now how about, if the paying it forward also actually helped the original person, in this case, me. It would then become a case of enlightened self-interest. By helping three people into a position where they can earn good money, I am also helping myself to earn good money. That sounds ok to me. My sponsor paid it forward for me, I now want to do the same for the first three people that request the same from me. The cost to me will be $33.00 for those three people, the return will be significantly more.

So, if you are interested contact me either by writing to me at pi4ward4a4tune@gmail.com or by sending me a PM on TrafficEra, where I surf as sekhmetgb. You email will not be sold, rented out, given away, or in any way used to spam you, it will only be used for details regarding the pif scheme for 4x1 Fortune.

The Most Irritating Advert On Traffic Exchanges

I asked some of my surfing buddies which advert they feel is the most irritating one on traffic exchanges at the moment, and we are all agreed it is the ad with the woman in the mini-skirt walking out of a pile of money whilst shrieking in the most irritating fashion. It is the one ad where I quickly switch to another exchange so that her voice stops - oh blessed relief. Needless to say, I have never before investigated what she is actually advertising!

Until today, that is. A very good friend of mine advised me to have a look at the company behind the most irritating advert on the internet, so I did. The company behind that horrid ad is a company called 4x1 Fortune, and the opportunity is a 2x2 matrix, which when completed pays out and allows entry into a new level matrix at the same time. This process is repeated four times, each time the payout is bigger, and there are matching bonuses when one of your personally referred people cycles as well. The products available in the back office are also pretty awesome and I think on their own are worth more than the one time $11.00 that it takes to join this opportunity.

I shall still turn off the site every time the woman comes shrieking out of the money, well, maybe until I have earned some cycles in this company, when who knows, maybe they will hire me to do some REAL shrieking :))

Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time (well, only about 5 years ago really) I was a green being that wanted to make some money on the internet. At the time I was playing around on MyLot and read about this great opportunity, that would make me rich in absolutely no time at all, if only I would join. It was all going to be so easy, set up a ClickBank Account, join a couple of traffic exchanges and hey presto, within days I would be rich. So I learnt about hoplinks, and I learnt to surf and joined several surf sites and nothing happened.

But, luckily, whilst I was surfing I saw this very nice young man, who had apparently been living on rice and beans for years and years, though he did look good on it. Now though, he had made an absolute fortune and he was willing to teach me for FREE how to do the same. So I joined. And I joined. And I joined. I joined everything he told me to join and spent an absolute fortune improving his financial situation. I had an auto-responder, leads, my own website and various other things I had no idea how to use, and instead of earning money, I was spending it. I did get three sign ups for this program, and made $3.00 on the website site, without ever being able to get it out. I joined several other must have companies, all of which led to further and further expense as you had to absolutely join this Marketer Networking site that only cost $25.00 per month etc etc. I will not calculate how much I spent on all this, not because I can´t, but because I think it would reduce me to tears to think how much money I wasted on all these wonderful opportunities that never produced anything. Nada, zilch, zip.

Then I got a bit wiser, and managed to team up with someone from Australia, and actually made $5,000 for the first time in my life. But it took a while (mainly because I had lost interest and forgotten I had ever joined in the first place) and it is not a cheap opportunity to join, so getting sign ups is difficult.

However, I have learnt from my experiences though and found that I look at advertising in a new way. Put away your credit card your first month is free, means that the owner of that program has decided to use as their main business that you have to subscribe to, a program that was free for one month in the first place, but you will pay for it after one month when you are firmly hooked. Free report give-away mean you are a lead that has now been captured (I intensely dislike that expression, it sounds so degrading) and you will now be spammed senseless for the rest of your life. Serious man saying Flashy over-hyped sites do not work, but ours does we really want to help you, means zilch, zip, nada.

So, this disillusioned marketer has broken all the rules and joined a Flashy Over-hyped Site that pays 100% commissions directly into your payment processor of choice and guess what? She got her first payment within 2 days of joining, that means the original money is now back in account as though it had never left. It should not work, this flashy over-hyped impossible opportunity, It Should Not Work, but you know, I just think it will. So you may keep eating rice and beans, and having a Real Business fattening someone else`s downline and receiving their spam, and good luck to you. This girl will take her chance on the Flash and the Hype and the real money into PayPal account.

Feeding the Fish = Fattening your Finances

Having had some time out from all internet related activities, it it now time to start things moving again. We had the great good fortune of being paid rather well for some work we had done a couple of years ago, and this has kick started my search for further fortune on the internet again.

Today I want to talk about the programme called MyMoneyFish. I joined the programme about two weeks ago, and so far it looks really promising. It is a 10x4 forced matrix programme with a difference. Instead of getting paid when your matrix is full (which in a 10x4 would take some doing) you get paid every month. Basically this means getting paid $2.00 for each member that is in your downline, on whichever level they are, and whether you personally sponsored them or not. If at the time of first payout you decide to take the money and run, you can do that, though if you are in profit I see no reason why you would, considering that you are likely to be in even more profit the next month.

My brother, ever the sceptic, had to do the sums. He has worked out that the person who runs the programme will basically get $1.95 for each and every person in the programme, each and every month - so there is no reason for him not to pay out during the first pay run, because he will get an automatic fortune every month that the programme runs. It is his best interest to keep it running and it is in our best interest to stay in the programme.

I know matrices can be tricky, particularly if they are free to join or require a one-time joining fee, where would be money come from to pay out at the end? But this is different and I think it is definitely worth the $10.00 entry fee to give it the best you can.

There are people who do not ever wish to spend any money in any programme because they say that you should not have to pay to work, and that when you take a job in an off-line company you do not pay your boss to start work. This of course is erroneous thinking, and divides those who want a job (where you work for someone else who takes all the profits and gives you a fixed wage) from those who want to run their own business, which always takes some start up capital, whether it is on-line or off-line.

Will update this blog from time to time regarding the MyMoneyFish programme, to let you know how much profit we are making each month.

And Violence Begets Violence

This is a post that I did not think I would ever write, because it is quite personal and although I do not mind sharing parts of me with other people, this is a part I would rather not have shared. But I will share it now, in view of hearing calls for 'let's start a war with Iran' or 'let's bomb North Korea or 'blow Japan out of the water'. The reason for these various calls have to do with perceived or real threats to our safety or security or for other reasons, such as barbaric treatment of people or animals in their care. Whatever, the reason is, violence can NEVER be the answer.

Sure, if someone attacks you you have the right to defend yourself, but never ever be the one who starts the violence.

My absolute distate for violence is a result of my early upbringing. I am the off-spring of a mother who was in a Japanese concentration camp for four years, from age 11-15. I know in graphic detail what was done to my mother and other girls and women in those camps, it makes the British t.v. series 'Tenko' look like a holiday camp. After the war my mother moved back with her family to Holland, where nobody at that time was interested in what had happened to them, because the people who had lived in Holland during that time had themselves suffered a lot at the hands of the German occupiers.

I remember a childhood of beatings and walking home from school wondering if I would go home to 'loving mummy' or we would have to play 'Jap camp' again today. I will not bore you with the details, they are not interesting and add nothing to this story.

I want to say that violence done to one generation has lasting results not just for that generation but for the following one as well. And I guess, had I not decided never to have children, I might have visited that violence on the next generation too.

I just wish that when people say 'let's start a war' or 'let's blow them to kingdom come' they would remember that violence never ends well, and that all it does is beget more and more violence.

How Do You Like Your Surf?

Having decided that I am not going to spend the rest of my life frantically surfing on Traffic Era, I thought it was time to revisit some of the Traffic Exchanges I am already a member of and also join a couple of new ones. I will still do a couple of hours on Traffic Era, but I felt it was time to diversify a bit. This post is about the two new exchanges I have joined this weekend.

The first one is for those who like their surf easy and without frills. Ten second timer, one to one hit ratio, free, easy to use, unlimited URLs and a very good admin. Small at the moment, but that only gives us a better chance to build downlines. It is surfing at its easiest and I think it will give good results because people are not perpetually distracted by things that are supposed to make surfing 'fun'. You can visit Jus-Surfing here. See what you think, I like its pure simplicity. At the moment there is a contest going on to see who has the most points in their account at midnight 15th June UK time, and they will win £15.00 straight into their PayPal account. Nice :)

The other exchange I joined was the long-awaited second baby of Kjell, called Deep Space Traffic, I am sure you have seen the ads over all the exchanges you surf on. It is an interesting exchange, with lots of extras, possibilities to upgrade, win extra credits, lottery tickets and space travel. The design is fantastic and it does make surfing as much fun as it can be. No team surfing so you work for yourself and that can be very refreshing too. The splash pages you can use for advertising are numerous and some are very humorous.

Surfing the two together works very well, both have 10 second timers and they do not conflict with each other - even my little old laptop does not start to shudder every two minutes when I surf these two at the same time. They are as different from each other as they can be, but work extremely well together, so it is an excellent combination as far as I am concerned.

I am very happy with my two latest acquisitions, and have spent a few pleasurable hours over the weekend Just Surfing and relaxing.

What Would You Do If...

What would you do if someone lent you $25,000 dollars today to start your own business. That was the question posed to me by Pertuity Direct, who are a Social Lending Company. Unfortunately I probably live in the wrong country but just supposing someone lent you all that money, what sort of business would you start?

At the moment I own a very small but successful Home Care and Home Nursing Agency. I started it just over a year ago, with no start up capital at all, and have managed (at times just about) to keep my head above water, and furthermore also managed to keep the head of my colleague Paul above water for most of that time. But there are so many improvements to be made, a bit of start up capital would make a huge difference.

Firstly, I would use part of the money to pay to have the business incorporated, it makes sense for all sorts of reasons - tax reasons, legal reasons, insurance reasons, and it would enable me to give contracts to the people who work for me, thereby providing them with security for sick pay and pension rights.

The next thing I would do is buy some basic equipment, such as bath boards, a couple of wheelchairs, some Zimmer frames, over the lavatory frames for people who have difficulty with getting into and out of a sitting position. At the moment we rent these pieces of equipment, whereas if we owned them ourselves we could rent them out to our clients, and make a bit of money that way as well, plus we would not have to wait for the delivery company to come and fit the equipment. We would also buy some digital blood pressure machines and blood sugar monitors.

Since communication is a must at all times, I would invest some money in a series of cell phones on the same business contract, obviously with itemized bills. This would enable the business to repay the people who work for us for their work related calls, it would make all calls between those phones free of charge and would mean we would never run out of credit on our phones.

My car is on its last legs, so I would pay a good mechanic to repair the clutch and give it a total check up so that it will hopefully last for another couple of years. Obviously we need to be able to get to patients at all times of the day and night, and it would be great to have transport that is 100% reliable.

Finally, I would give myself a day off. I have not had a day off for more than a year now, and it would be really nice to stay in bed past 9.00 in the morning and then wake, knowing I have a whole day to relax.

I can see my new business now, not a new busines but a business renewed with fresh energy and new hope. Bring it on Pertuity please!
